As a teacher I have been enjoying Camtasia Studio. I am currently using version 5.0 for the first time and I am pleased so far with the program. There have been some things I have found missing, but I am new to Camtasia Studio and still need to spend time familiarizing myself with the program, and it’s interface. 1) The ability to zoom out or magnify the video being recorded so that I am looking at a larger screen area at which to type my presentation. There is only a limited amount of zoom or the scroll wheel that I can use on the keyboard.
2) When using capture from the keyboard, the screen will black out for about 1-2 seconds and then the screen will be displayed again but I want to be able to streamline that part of the process. The way I want to do it is to hold down the CAPTURE button while I am typing. However, after typing for 5-10 seconds or even more it will automatically stop capturing and I will have to start the process over again.

Youre not going to use Adobe Premier Pro for desktop videos, because its as close to a rip off of Camtasia Studio as you can get. Maybe the reason Microsoft isnt purchasing them anymore is because they want to control the market rather than generate income from it.
Bottom line, if you know you are going to need to use Camtasia for at least one of your marketing efforts, its worth investing in Camtasia Studio as it has more features and allows you to control more of your content and make it look better. Im sure if you have other Adobe products, you will want Camtasia.
